Dunkin Donuts

I read an article recently about Dunkin Donuts giving Starbucks a run for their money..they made the list for one of the top 10 franchises, and are trying to sway people from Starbucks by offering their coffee cheaper and faster.

It made me smile because since coming to New York I have a certain appreciation for Dunkin Donuts. They are EVERYWHERE around here, even in the smallest of towns you can expect to see a Dunkin Donuts. At first, Andrew and I just thought.."man, these people like their donuts!" but that was until we heard about how great their coffee was. They have exceptional coffee, lattes, coolattas, you name it..and it is remarkably cheaper than Starbucks. After I learned this, whenever we would go for a drive a few hours away (especially towards the Adirondacks) and we would pass through a small town and I saw they had a Dunkin Donuts, I would say,"Ohhhh..they have Dunkin Donuts!!" - like it was Disney Land or something..hehe. And of course we would usually stop. Even Andrew likes them because they don't just sell coffee they sell kick ass smoothies too.

We didn't even have any Starbucks around here until just recently when one opened up in Watertown, NY, but it's still 45 minutes away from me so I doubt if I will be seeing it much.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that. It's one of the first big differences we noticed here in Upstate NY. There are lots of other differences (that I really love) but since this one was dealing with coffee I was bound to notice it first! ;)

** Yes, I'm aware I have an obsession with changing my template..sorry about that. Changing codes and colors is fun though!**

I am not a fan of the $5 cup of Starbuck's coffee either. It is too strong or something. I love DD though. Their coffee rocks. We had one in the neighborhood but they moved and now I have to go to the one up north but that's okay cuz I work up north (in town):)

Hmmm...I dunno! Starbucks Rocks you know. I'll have to sample some Dunkin Donuts coffee before I write Starbucks out of the picture. ;o) I'll let you know! Do they have those here...I'm very sheltered in some cases!
